INTRODUCTION

Sparkman & Stephens New York 32 “Masquerade” – Hull #21 – Year 2009.

Designed only and exclusively for the New York Yacht Club members in the 1930s.

Masquerade was built completely new between 2004 and 2009 by a Dutch owner with exceptional permission from the New York Yacht Club and first launched in 2010.

Constructed in modern, strong woodcore epoxy and only the best materials used in combination with all the original bronze parts taken over from NY32 hull #13, she is an absolute unique classic breathing the original character from the 1930s!

Absolutely beautifully maintained and presented by her most caring Dutch owner.

Viewings are highly recommended on this very rare classic work of art!

HULL

  • Construction: Hull strip planked with red cedar wood and sheathed inside and outside with layers fiberglass in epoxy in order to give a strong and low maintenance hull.
  • Hull painted in white with VAN DE IJSSEL paint system.
  • Lead keel with approx. 6.500kg ballast.

DECK

  • Deck constructed in waterproof multiplex on oak deck beams with yellow cedar “teak deck” surface and dark varnished teak parts.
  • The New York 32 with hull #13 was bought by the builder to install all the original bronze hardware in order to keep the yacht original.
  • The original bronze deck hardware includes the bow fittings, stanchions, pulpit and pushpit, mooring cleats, guiders, navigation lights, genoa cars and tracks, filler caps and portholes.
  • 3 x Opening deck hatches in high gloss varnished teak.
  • Butterfly opening skylight hatch in high gloss varnished teak.
  • Sliding entrance hatch in high gloss varnished teak.
  • Protection covers in sand beige fabric for hatches and sliding hatch.
  • Coamings constructed in solid teak and finished with high gloss varnish.
  • Coachroof top painted in sand white with VAN DE IJSSEL paint system.
